No. Sometimes in rare cases another store may need help and leaders from your store may ask for volunteers to go help the other store. That is very rare. It happened maybe 3 times in my 14 years with Target.

It might be a case of ASANTS. Leaders at my store went from having to close once maybe 2 times a month to now closing 5 to 6 times a month. They don’t want the closing team leader to close alone anymore.

They already have that. All stores have a closing team leader. The closing team leader only works closing shifts. They want all leaders to be able to close occasionally.

I think this is a new policy so, possibly that could change soon.

At my store we have a drive up team strictly for drive up. Front end peeps don’t do drive up unless we are super busy and need help.

My store doesn’t call people in to cover call offs but, you can ask to stay later to cover. Usually they will let people stay later to cover.

I’ve been Target 14 years and it is my only source of income. When hours are low I make it work. Pick up shifts, use vacation, ask to come in early or stay late. Peeps always calling out so there is usually some extra hours around.

That’s one of the reasons I love drive up my hours rarely get cut much. I have not had less than 32 hours in years.

This week and next I got 37.5 hours. I work drive up so my hours rarely get cut much. When hours are cut I get around 32 hours.

Must be a case of ASANTS because I have never had more than 40 max sick hours. Ever since we started getting sick hours I’ve never used any and still only at 40 hours sick time.

How are you getting that much sick time? I work 35-40 hours a week and only have 40 hours sick time. I’ve been with Target 14 years so, I'm far from a newbie. I have not used any of my sick time.

Can we use sick time for siccadis? LOL

There are people at my store who do it. I’ve never done so not sure if you can.

In my case I’m exhausted after all the hours I put in Nov and dec so, I turn down extra hours. I have vacation hours saved up that I use if I need a bigger check.
