    Archived MIR that are found

You can re-open MIRs if it is before the last ship date. You go to start MIR in the pda and type in the MIR number even though it is not on the list to to start. There is only a period of a few weeks after the MIR is due that you can re-open, after that I believe best practice is to use SIM.

    Archived MIRs

At my store I am doing the backroom and the sales floor pulls. Mostly because our store has a red backroom and is never caught up on anything to have time to pull MIRs. I also don't really trust anyone at else at my store to do the pulls and pull the correct quantities. I actually end up...

Archived What is harder receiving or signing?

ESIM is not that bad, you are really just making sure things are bagged right and sorted into the bins correctly, it tells your what category something is when you defect it out so its kind of hard to mess up. I don't see how they could blame the receiver for putting that stuff in the...

Archived What is harder receiving or signing?

I have been doing receiving a few months now and it is pretty easy, but I already knew 90% of it when I started. Both positions will involve people trying to dump stuff in your area (fixture room for signing and dock area for receiving), this can be frustrating at times so you need patience...

    Archived Vendor Credits

So, question with vendor credits. If the backroom backstocks vendor product down the SNCK aisle and forgets about it for almost a year, then decides to purge it all out and brings me all the vendor product that is expired should I try to get vendors to do credits for these items? I have had...

Archived Old media in lockup, what to do.

With pre-sell cards I would just toss them, I know they might need them for MIRs later but reverse logistics can just key it in because all pre-sell card MIRs tell you to destroy anyways (I have actually stopped looking for these cards when I do the these MIRs b/c it is easier to key them in and...

Archived What's the grossest thing you have ever seen/ found at target?

dead rats... several dead rats under bottom backroom shelves. Our rat problem was so bad at one point that we could not go in our backroom candy aisle because the odor of rat urine was so strong. We locate all our candy in plastic storage bins with lids now.

Archived Vendors Who Don't Give a Crap

Bread vendors are the worst mostly because they don't have to get checked in by the receiver, so even if they leave a ton of backstock and mess things up we can't refuse an order. Sure we could stop bread vendors at the receiving door and tell them they can't bring in product until their...

Archived Vendors Who Don't Give a Crap

If any vendors leave pallets or product on my dock I throw in in their pallet spaces or shelves in a way that will make them want to take care of it next time. Also, we do pay vendors for their product so we can move it if we need too.

MEGATHREAD $9 minimum wage starts soon!!!

Got my review (TM) went from 12.50 to 13.00 from 4% merit increase, did not receive any other pay increase so I am guessing people already above the new minimum are not getting anything other than merit increase (but on the plus side the pay cap has gone up).

Archived Need advise/tips with Team Lead Interview

You will be asked behavioral type questions. These will follow the S.T.A.R model, which is basically you tell about a S(situation) or T(task), what A (action) you took in the situation, and R (Results) of the situation. Your answers will be measured based on the complexity, effort and scope of...

Cool thanks, I was confused and thinking those instructions were for me.

    Archived Remodel TL

Are you becoming a key carrier for it? If so it will probably involve lots of door opening and dealing with the alarm panel. If there are any third party contractors you will also have to deal with them too. The presentation TL will probably(hopefully) also be going overnight and should be...

    Archived Scanning the truck

Yes it is normal procedure in most stores. Some stores might be different but I am not sure.

    Archived Preferred Carriers

So I have an MIR that is return to CRC and it says use preferred Carriers only. What are the preferred carriers? I believe this is due to ESIM items on the MIR. But I could not find anything on workbench. I was thinking this meant ship UPS ground or FedEx Ground but was not sure enough to...

Archived What can RDCs do better to help stores?

All the strip labels should be the peel off kind, not the kind where you have to pull the paper under it. Those little papers end up all over the floor and in my pockets.

Archived Help! I keep getting asked to be team lead

Also, (not saying this is the case with the op) but just because someone has talked to you about being a TL does not really mean they think you would be a good fit for it. I have been in TL meetings in which HR told us we should all be working on developing a team member in our workcenter for...

    Archived Outbound Tracking

Thanks for responding. I submitted a Mysupport for the issue hopefully that will get them cleared out. CRC is the same way, it has like 50+ pallets for it I have not had to ship one of those yet, but I will try the 'pallet not found' next week when I ship. I asked my ETL and she told me just...

Archived Help! I keep getting asked to be team lead

I would recommend staying put. What will happen is a first all the ETLs that wanted you to be a team lead and helped you prep. for it will be real supportive. You will then start to notice these people quitting or transferring (they love to move ETLs around) to other stores. Flash forward one...
