    Archived Hardlines Advice

Hey guys. So I started working at Target about a month and a half ago. I'm a hardlines team member, and the LODs consistently tell me that I'm going too slow. I usually close, so when I come in there's a ton of push and reshop waiting for me and it takes so long to get through it all. Not only...

Archived What do you eat at work?

Since my store is in a mall, there's a variety of food places in the food court that I can eat from. I'm new and have yet to eat in the food court though because I don't feel like spending the money. Since I normally don't eat during my breaks, I make sure to eat right before and right after...

My second day cashiering was SO much easier than the first. Yeah you'll still experience some issues and will have to ask for help, but it's nothing compared to the first day. My first day was basically a disaster lol.

You will be fine then. Even if you do have a hard time your first day, every day after that will be a breeze. Good luck! :)

Welcome! I'm new too and just finished training. Be prepared for when you have your cashier training shift. If you have no cashier experience like me, then it'll be a stressful time. Hopefully the people who work at your store will be helpful though. What position did they hire you for?

    Archived My First Long Shift

I'm not doing anything school-related this summer, so I have the time to work. Trust me, I was unemployed last summer and even though I enjoyed all the free time, I didn't enjoy not having money lol. So I don't mind working. I don't need the money THAT bad because I already have a part-time job...

    Archived My First Long Shift

They have scheduled me often for the first 2 weeks following training. We will see if what you said happens in the future though. I don't need the money THAT bad, so I wouldn't mind only being scheduled for one day a week. What is your advice on putting shifts on the swap board and time-off...

    Archived My First Long Shift

Sorry for not giving enough detail. When I interviewed for the position, I told the 3 people that interviewed me that I had a week-long vacation scheduled in July. They said it was fine. I did the time-off request yesterday but it was auto-denied so I need to do it again today and make sure...

I actually get paid $9.50/hour, so I'll be making more than that I guess. I didn't get know we get time and a half for 4th of July. I guess that makes it a bit better, but I'm still not looking forward to it lol. If you worked at my store, I'd totally give you my shift.

    Archived My First Long Shift

Hey guys. I was recently hired as a hardlines team member. I finished my 2 weeks of training and today was my first long shift. I am so tired. Props to anyone who consistently works long shifts. I'm still trying to get some things approved, like days off and a change in my availability. It's...
