Sadly cross training may be the only way to get more hours. Definitely talk to your ETL. College will starting soon so, once school starts your hours may pick up. The kids availability usually changes once school starts especially if they go away to college.

What are the kids scheduled under? Is it market? Or is it another department and they are being pulled to help out.

That would definitely be an HR question. You also need your leaders permission to transfer.

You cannot see out of holds anymore. If an order is scanned into a cart because guest says they are coming but, they end up not coming, you can transfer hold on those and put the bags in any open Waco. Just click transfer to new location.

Do you have any wiggle room on your availability? Maybe could you work till 4:30 or 5:30 on Saturday or Sunday? This might help you get more hours. We have peeps at more who have been there years who would get 6-2 before some newbie. All stores are not the same so I can’t speak for your store.

Open up your availability and you will get more hours. Those with limited availability will get hours cut first.

What time are you scheduled to start? I used to work cafe and it takes 30-45 minutes to get cafe ready to open. My store no longer has cafe thankfully.

When I was a check out advocate I used to stock candy at the registers. You’d be surprised to see that people actually do buy candy and snacks from the unused registers. Those were always needing to be filled.
