I’m contemplating on giving my two weeks notice. I really tried to stick it out and see if my hours increased, but so far I’m still stuck with the 5 1/2 this upcoming week and 8 the week after. I like the organization, I just can’t survive on those type of hours.
The big thing I was wondering...
I’m not really familiar with retail and wanted to see the inner workings before jumping straight into an ETL position, there also isn’t any openings in my state so I was hoping to wait till something popped up.
I wasn't flaunting my degree, I was more pointing out the fact that there are other opportunities out their for me as I have a degree. I decided to take this position as I like Target as a company and hope to use my degree to move up within the organization. Part of my decision on taking the...
I wasn't bragging at all, I guess I just have higher ethical standards when an employer promises you hours to get you in the door and then you don't get those hours and you turned down other jobs cause 35-40 Hours at $12 is pretty decent. I'm frustrated with myself and with HR for turning down...
I honestly don’t care what week it is, I never would accepted the position or went through with it if I knew I was only going to get 5.5 hours total in week 3. I can work pretty much anywhere else and get a lot more hours.
Thanks for all info guys, it’s my decision easier on quitting tomorrow not that difficult. It’s pretty shady practice that HR promises me one things and I get the other. Would have been more understanding of the whole situation if I had at least 20 hours, but 5.5 is just ridiculous
I’m not one of those TMs, but as someone that has a college degree that was promised up to near 40 hours per week, 5.5 for my 3rd week seems insultingly low.
Is it normal for HR to say that the potential is high for me to get up near 40 hours in fullfillment during the hiring process? As I’m only scheduled to work 5.5 the week after training. I’m already considering quitting if it doesn’t improve.
I just started training for a seasonal position that will last till' January, that is going to be up to 40 hours a week! I have a few questions in regards to transferring and promotions, I tried searching a bit on the forum, but I didn't receive a clear cut answers for them.
1. After my...
