    Ridiculous OPUs

I once ordered 20 to donate to a friend's charity; they use them to sort kids' clothes by size.

    In-person reviews?

I'm talking about the annual review in spring. I had my mid-year one last week. I asked another TL and she said regular TMs don't have to sign off on the annual ones anymore, so TLs can get away with not doing them. That's fine by me.

    In-person reviews?

I never had an actual sit-down review this year. According to my pay stubs I got a raise, but no review. I'm not complaining because I hate them so I'm actually relieved, but a TL I talked to said everyone is supposed to have an in-person conversation and sign off on it. She was confused how my...

Does your store do vaccinations by the family restroom?

Ours is outside the restroom, directly in front of the condoms, lubes, etc. Pharmacy asked a few years ago if we could switch that section with the foot care section next to it (which is closest to the restroom door); of course that didn't happen. So now they just try to arrange chairs so...

    New plastic carts?

Nope, an engineer would have come up with this in two weeks. Signed, Spouse for 31 years of mechanical engineer. (See profile pic.)

Don't you just take whatever batch is due first, no matter what it is? I mean, I hate bulky but if it's closest to goal time I'm going to take it.

Is there any benefit to pausing OPU carts? Does it improve your metrics? We have a couple of TMs who are constantly pausing their carts, even when they're just walking from one location to another, and I can't figure out why.

Us too. With the old way, I can't count how many times I finished a batch with less than 30 seconds to spare. The 10 seconds it takes to switch to a different app makes a difference. Having bags sitting in my cart when they could already be in a hold location makes a difference. Having separate...

    No drinks behind registers?

I thought you must have been from Wisconsin. They call them bubblers too.

I once had a bikini top as a ship alone. I mean, I guess some sizes could ship alone but I don't think Spot sells them.

Do you just leave it there? I try to go through our coolers/freezers at least once a week (unauthorized, because wE dOn'T hAvE tImE fOr ThAt). Those wacos are prime real estate and I'm not giving them over to moldy strawberries and expired milk.

Thanks, I know how addiction works. You know they're not giving out samples of actual alcohol in people's orders, right?

    MEGATHREAD Flexible Fulfillment

Okay, I get what you're saying. I guess I just don't see it as any different from the tons of alcohol ads on TV, radio, newspapers, online, etc. TBH I'm willing to bet the vast majority of people don't even look at the stuff stores throw in the bags, other than to take out the free samples. I...

Is your store giving out alcohol samples? Ours isn't, just paperwork that people will throw away and the cheap wine bag. And I'm pretty sure a family would have no grounds to sue unless you held a gun to the the alcoholic's head, forced them to drink it, and then forced them to continue...

One is a cart (parent), one is a subcart (child). You don't need a cart, the subcart works as both.

How is it any different than someone buying alcohol in the store? Grocery stores and liquor stores offer alcohol for pickup, driveup, and delivery. You card the person picking up the order, just like you card the person in the checklane. What they do with it after purchase is not on you, unless...

I noticed that right before I left yesterday; I thought it was a glitch. Is this another of Target's famous "This seems to be working well! Let's change and/or get rid of it." things?

THIS THIS THIS A THOUSAND TIMES THIS. (I am fulfillment but I have helped with drive-ups and pick-ups, so I know how us doing our job correctly makes GS job so much easier, and our team can't really understand until they've had to do it.)

As a TM I have questions. (I've done fulfillment for 3.5 years and lived through the advents of both drive-up and grocery pick-up.) 1. Target is all about "teams". Teams by definition work together to achieve a common goal. In fulfillment, strategies like yours pit us against each other. How is...
