    MEGATHREAD Flexible Fulfillment

I have nearly 100, and the SFS volume is a lot lower than originally predicted. It's quite a weird situation.

    Closed on Thanksgiving

HR here. I would be surprised if OPU/SFS is scheduled because it says pretty plainly that we will be closed to guests "and team members." I highly doubt Target would say that and then have SOME team members working.

    What do these symbols mean?

Technically one is a shaded-in Delta and the other is Phi. They're Greek letters. No idea what they're for in this instance, though.

Target website won't let me reapply? (after months)

Call the store and ask the HR Expert (or ETL, if they're available) to check your name in Workday and see what the deal is. Workday isn't as user-friendly and intuitive as you might hope for. Particularly for seasonal requisitions.

    New ETL

These are good tips, thanks everyone. I make it a point to get to know people and to help in the trenches, so I'm glad to see those keep coming up. A good point about food during COVID. Guess it'd need to be pre-packaged or something along those lines.

    New ETL

@Amanda Cantwell as an honest question, would it be a nice move to personally buy a lunch for my new team when I'm placed? I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap but a few hundred bucks to introduce myself wouldn't be unreasonable.

    New ETL

Honestly I love to be on the floor. My company prefers HR's to be in the office doing hiring and interviews, and my only consistent complaint from them is that I spend too much time helping direct traffic flow and assisting customers. I'd much rather be with people than fiddling away on my...

    New ETL

As an incoming ETL-HR, what would you like me to know? For reference: I am coming in as an HR from another retail company with over a decade of management experience. The degree doesn't matter, though I have one and I am working on another. We all know that's just window dressing. I've worked...

    Outside Hire - ETL Interview

I already don't. My store is only closed on Christmas - it's a grocery chain. In any event, thank you all! The process has concluded as of today, and I'm happy with the result. Have a good Memorial Day Weekend!

    Outside Hire - ETL Interview

I would also like to mention that I'd be leaving my current company on very good terms and they have a pretty solid history on "taking people back" if they leave properly and decide it wasn't for them, wherever they went. Essentially this is the same job for better pay and every other weekend...

    Outside Hire - ETL Interview

So, to respond to the recent notes: * I am an HR at a company that is very similar. Half of my day is spent doing non-HR functions like running the floor, directing associates to move displays and fill shelves, monitoring the Front End cashiers, etc. * Most of my scheduling is also...

    Outside Hire - ETL Interview

Well this was more responses than I expected. To update: the second interview went quite well. As for where I'm coming from, I'm already a Retail Assistant Store Manager for a company with similarly-sized floorplans and 250+ employees. I'm also used to being what you'd refer to as LOD (I...

    Outside Hire - ETL Interview

Hi there, I imagine in general folks aren't fans of outside hires coming in for an ETL role, and I honestly don't blame them. I have a second round interview coming up with an STL (via Facetime, given the pandemic) in the greater NYC area for HR-ETL. I am currently an HR Manager at a different...
