A LOD just needs to receive the call before your shift. They should not question you over the phone. Your TL or ETL should follow up on the call out the next time you come to work.

Not all LOD's are always logged into the PDA. It can also get tricky if you missed a punch. Punching out late also has an impact on the HR team score which impacts overall operations.
