    Archived Transfer pay

I transferred as an APTL (same position at both stores). Kept my pay, benefits, etc. Transferring shouldn't change anything about your pay unless you are also changing workcenter when you transfer.

Archived Negotiating a TL pay offer

It helps that you have a bachelors degree. Leverage your experience at Target and your bachelors degree when asking for more money. The worst that can happen is they say no.

    Archived AP-TL Paygrade 17

I already have to do everything an ETL-AP + TPS store does (besides LOD shifts), only I have to do it all on my own in 40 or less hours a week. I wouldn't turn down the pay raise.

    Archived SR. AP-TL

Sounds like you're thinking of TPS. TPS' can't log on to registers. APTL's certainly can. I know of a store where the APTL worked one LOD shift a week as part of their development. But it obviously isn't standard practice.

Archived Upcoming holiday hours and overtime

Some stores allow OT (as previous posters have mentioned). In addition, on weeks where there is a paid holiday (Hello Thanksgiving!), you can work up to 48 hours without it counting as OT. Weeks with the 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc I always work around 47.5. Those are some nice pay...

    Nope

    Archived Pay grades and negotiation

Always ask for more, and be able to back it up with solid reasoning. The worst that can happen is they say no.

Archived Got screwed by Target, once again.

I was in college full-time and working 40 hours a week as a Sr TPS. You sure you can't handle just working weekends while in school? I know it's not easy, but it can be nice having something to take your mind off school. And of course it's nice having money :)

Hotline? Lawyer? What are you trying to accomplish here?

    Archived Burned at work?

You're not going to get paid for time spent going to the doctor. It's not like you're trying to get the nurses to sign up for Redcards. You will get paid for missed work if you can't work with that injury, or put on light duty, but that's a different issue. Target will pay all of the medical...

Archived Compliance violation scheduled for only one break

I believe it is ultimately your own responsibility to watch out for your breaks/lunches. You are an adult, you can keep track of time, and you know the rules. If it's cutting it close, call your leader or LOD and let them know exactly when you need to take a lunch by. That said, if you were...

Archived I left back doors lock so they say !

Hopefully the TPS can confirm your story, so that nobody gets in trouble... rather than trying to throw the TPS under the bus with you.

    Archived LOA ended!

Do you keep calling the TMS or are you calling your store? Hardlinesmaster has it right, you should go in and talk to your ETL-HR directly.

    Archived Team Leader Benefits

    Better pay, sometimes significantly higher.

    Archived Taking a "Leadership" class

Why would you take a leadership course at Target that's designed to help you become a team lead when you don't want to be a team lead? Anyway, if your store is holding the class, I'm sure you could fake it long enough to at least attend the class.

    Archived alcohol

I'm a big fan of Stella Artois Cidre. Don't get the bottles at the store if you can help it (expensive!) Find it on tap at an establishment that serves adult beverages. I like Angry and Redd's, but Stella Cidre is definitely a step above those.

Archived Does Target hire people full-time?

You probably know this TAG, but just putting it out there so other team members understand better. AP hours come from headquarters, not the store. And the hours are pre-determined at the beginning of the fiscal year, they don't fluctuate month to month according to sales. That's why AP TM's are...

Archived The great GSA pay debate

Is it really a lie from leadership if team members are spreading what you even admit is a rumor? Or do you think that "leadership" sits around coming up with rumors to leak just to keep team member's temporarily happy, while ignoring the inevitable backlash as these rumors turn out to be false?

Archived How does one become a TL?

Most of the other advice in this thread is valid (ignore a lot of the negative comments; you won't get a TL position being a negative individual). Talk to your TL and ETL. Tell them you are very interested in developing and promoting. Explain why, what interests you, tell them how great things...

    Archived GSA? HR? What?!

HRTM is definitely a promotion over FA. Honestly pretty much anything is a promotion over FA.
