    Overtime?

Sounds like your OM isn't explaining OT very well, which could be a big problem for team members with your situation. At my DC everyone was assigned to a 'group' (ie. group A, group B, group C, etc.). There were about 7-10 team members in each group, and OT days would alternate each week. OT for...

    Overtime?

Ummm.. Congrats that you're doing well, but that's pretty much how it's done. It was explained to me during my orientation and went over during startup quite a few times when there were mass new hires. There can be OT an anytime, that's why you're assigned to a group to know what your possible...

Bonuses for Maiming or Killing Store Inbound/Flow TMs?

Yes, I am talking about unloading at a store level.. I was the main unloader for a couple years before fixing/running my own teams at multiple stores, at different times of course. Just like 60SecondsRemaining said, the unload isn't complicated. When you're team actually works together they...

Bonuses for Maiming or Killing Store Inbound/Flow TMs?

^^This! Years ago, when the metrics were about how fast you could unload, I could easily throw a 2k truck by myself in just over an hour. But even when the new unloads began with smaller teams, we were still able to finish in about 2 hours. It took practice for us to slow down as much as they...

COVID-19 Any other dc getting overtime because of coronavirus

Yes, it's coming in one trailer then being sorted and sent to the different stores that dc services. If it isn't flow then it's 'reserve', which is just our version of backstock. ISM for us is usually considered flow as 99% of the time we send it straight out and don't hold on to it..

COVID-19 Any other dc getting overtime because of coronavirus

One million cases coming into the DC on any number of trucks. Trucks can be any number of cases, pipos count as one per pallet. So I've seen trucks of 28 'cases', and trucks up to 6000 cases. You should know what flow means at the store level.. The DC serves quite a few stores, mine was over 100..

Fired for points but rehired years laters

As someone who has worked in both settings, the 'warehouse work' you do in the store is nothing compared to actual warehouse work. I've worked 15+ hour shifts in the store during holidays and been fine to go in the next day or two to keep working for more OT. But go work in ART for the weekend...

    Archived Clerical Pay

I definitely plan on getting whatever I can, I'm just trying to figure out what a reasonable number would be. I know I would be able to make more money in the long run, but for now it takes away my ability to grab OT during most, if not all, of the year.

    Archived Clerical Pay

A clerical position opened up recently, and I'm a front runner to take that person's place since I've been the backup for a while and already know the job. I already know that the clerical is a merit based pay position, but is there an increase in pay if I do get the position? I'm already at the...
