Yup, you're right, it's visible on my end now as it looks like the stakeholder shareout is going live. And woof, this looks significantly different from what was sent out last year; no new workcenter/business unit at all.

My guess is that it's for current pilot stores. They've never done an op model update before reviews/APP comes around.

That's not how TL headcount/payroll works at Target. Expensive or not, the process for firing permanent TMs is very, very long. The process isn't faster just because they're eating up more payroll dollars.

My guess would be moving the GM that owns Presentation/Essentials over to Merch Ops and giving their old areas to GM. But leaving GM down to 1/2 TLs for most stores wouldn't be tremendously good if they still own Inbound and (maybe?) backroom

I've seen total sales/ad-ad comp/sales to goal but not total profitability (ex. MPM data). All I can say from that is the company definitely didn't see them as making money in the way they measure how a store is doing traditionally.
