Archived Why aren't team members putting in coupons right?

I used to be amazing at communicating coupon policies to our team. They all knew how to adjust the prices, only accept 4 coupons, ensure there were no trial/travel sizes, etc. Then, the BE BOLD thing began. My STL accepted 15 of the same coupons for one guest. We can now do ANYTHING that we have...

    Archived Ae2014

The good news about being "buddies" with the ETL that's leaving... She assured me that they are keeping me on. My position isn't being eliminated exactly, but they are moving people around to ensure the good people stay. I can think of about 3-4 that will be leaving. I was told it definitely...

Archived Now it's posted, what's your schedule for Thanksgiving and Black Friday?

Wednesday to Thursday overnight to set up! (Can't wait! By far my favorite day of the year!) Friday 12am-9am. Then again 6pm-1130pm. Saturday OFF. (That's my next full day off...)

Archived What deals have you gotten at Target?

This past week I bought a pack-n-play that is originally $100. It was returned on a baby registry and ended up with an "AS IS" sticker for $12. Oh yeah. What a great gift!

    Archived Highest AAR

About 120%. That's what my store hit just recently. :)

Archived Amount of time for TL training?

Random question. I am curious to see the answers everyone gives. In your opinion how much training should each new team leader receive before beginning their new role? Both in store and out of store? I'm assuming its different for something like backroom compared to ap. One week, three...

Archived Best TL position to get into if trying to become ETL?

Currently temporarily in a sales floor role. Trying to decide between the open gstl and BR positions or just waiting for someday for an actual sales floor position to open up.

Archived Best TL position to get into if trying to become ETL?

I've already gotten my degree. Started working for spot after that. So going back to do the intern position isn't possible.

Archived Best TL position to get into if trying to become ETL?

I'm just curious and it seems to me like some TL positions might get you going for ETL faster than others. I feel like running a clean BR or strong electronics (HL) might get you there faster than something like pricing/presentation or gstl. Tell me if you think in totally wrong. I could be...

    Archived Brand Team Members?

My store has one for in stocks as well. Kind of like a "captain". Since the logistics tl has both BR and IS our captain acts as a tl so the real tl can focus on br.

Archived Breaking down c and s

At our store it is an "all hands on deck" process. Once the truck pulls in, EVERYONE (including electronics and fitting room at times due to payroll) has to help. Some break it down, some get the backstock carts, some push it to the floor as its ready... Makes me dread those truck days...

Archived Anyone actually LOVE their job?

I've wanted to ask this question myself on here. Yes. I absolutely love my job. Is it difficult and stressful some days? Yes, it is. When Spot decides to provide enough payroll for all the work to get done, that's when it is best. But when it doesn't, then I just do the best I can do. I look...

Archived You know you've been at Target too long...

I don't normally work full shifts in the backroom... But I did yesterday. I got home and then left again and when I put my car in reverse, I tried turning my steering wheel to the right in order to back up to the left... Too much time on the wave I guess...

Archived Instocks Process -- Priority Pulls

This is why I absolutely love our store. Most of the time our LODs work them out (Sr. TLs, ETLs, STL). Occasionally when it's too busy for then then it's sales floor and in stocks. But they do their best.

Archived You know you've been at Target too long...

You've know you've been at Target too long when... your friend (non-tm) says customer, and you say, "you mean guest?" Or... You talk about work and something that wasn't quite right and your friend (non-tm) says, "You mean it wasn't brand?" Oops.
