So GSA's are pretty much expected to do everything & be everywhere. When things are going great And your producing results expect little to no recognition it will go to your tl's but when conversion is falling, no one will take accountability and you will be at blame. As far as the TM's its hard...
Personally I think you should take it I was an electronics brand TM before switching to GSA, its challenging but it will either make you or break you. It will show your leadership capability, I'm now on the TL bench after 6 months of being in role :)
As for as guests are concerned I really don't agree. They came out with the BE BOLD & if you read it, it mainly applies to front end. As the front end our sole purpose is TO TAKE CARE OF THE GUESTS! It's in our cole roles & especially now with the new rollout were trying to gain the customers...
Idk about other stores but we had a DTL visit & as of now we can push redcards & blitz. Also prompts are back up..don't forget to tell the guests about the one year free credit monitoring :)
I'm a GSA in training & I'm trained in SB, Food Ave, & Cash Office. Its super important to be global, you may have them crosstrain you just to show your flexible. I'm trained in ever department except backroom/logistics lol
When you first get there go up to the GSA/GSTL & ask them what register to get on since your new they may have you shadow someone or be on a register towards the back where its slower. If the item doesn't have a barcode you can use 243-04-9999 & then key the price if you know it but if not cut...
