How long does planorama usually last?

Planorama usually lasts around 4 days to a week because you have to build the entire store POG for POG. A lot of times other stores will come in and help you because there are so many to do. I’ve helped with two or three and then did one full out when I opened my previous store. They are pretty...

Stores not permitting guests 18 and under without adult supervision

I’m all for no minors unless accompanied by an adult. At least after a certain time. last weekend I had a bunch of kids hurdle themselves into a bin of Squishimals breaking the bin and leaving the entire racetrack with them scattered about. Thankfully there were another group of kids that...

    Bounce Back

Yeah. Pretty sure you can still do it. But i Remember when I would pick batches for ship/opu during Q4 in areas like toys where they often showed the photo of the product I thought you could swipe to see what the packaging looked like.

    Bounce Back

i *think* there are arrows on those photos that show the packaging if you swipe to the right. Don‘t quote me on that though. same.

    Slow zebra

On that note with the zebras... On the new models (the one with the green scanner beam) does anyone else experience it going practically haywire after you have it in the coolers? As in apps opening and closing, almost as if the touch sensitivity gets turned up to 100 and any bit of touch sets...

    POG Set and pulling items

I’ve done this a lot for the in aisle baskets and freezer sides on market salesplanner weeks if I don’t have time to set them before Wednesday. I hate tying and lying So I use it as an extreme last resort but I am sure to pull the next time I’m in.

    Ridiculous OPUs

A lot of times the single item orders are INFs from other stores. If an item is not available in the store you’re looking to order from, it will give you the option to pick it up at another store. its majorly annoying AF, and I’m sure people actually order one single, small item just the same...

    Black Friday

I know our store is planning a meeting tomorrow during the day to discuss it so at least we seem to be making sure we are set. Covid took the wind out of Targets sails when it came to BF. The social distancing regulations made it necessary for them to in essence “cancel” the BF that we all...

What does PRF mean on my schedule?

Priority fill. Now that Im back in a big store I love all the different abbreviations that no one ever knows what they mean.

TL Transfer question - Small Format to High Volume chain store.

Store doesn’t have any of those thankfully. Bakery is the frozen to fresh, and all deli is pre-packaged. Truth be told the store I’m going to I left four years ago to move to my current store so I know a little bit but it’s more how small format and chain differs when it comes to F&B.

TL Transfer question - Small Format to High Volume chain store.

Hey all - a bit to unpack here so here goes. I’m being transferred to a high volume PFresh store as their FBTL after doing the same role in a small format store for the last two(ish) years. It’s a lateral move but much bigger team (the position was offered to me by my DSD). She wants to send me...

    Target Phone

Bring back the ability to log into multiple departments. Now everything is tied into myDay so you only get calls based on what you’re logged in to. As a leader the only thing I get automatically logged into is “Leader”. Not an issue but most of our team doesn’t hit 9 to get to an LOD they use...

My former store is getting it. I was there last week to support their remodel.

I just got COMPLETELY screwed over by HR and my store. Holy crap. I think I'm gonna lose it

I always say to my team members that ultimately it's their responsibility to see that their time off is approved. Yes, the ETL doing the schedule has some onus on making sure they are checking time off requests, but alas, not always the case. I was a TL (when I did the schedule and had access...

    MEGATHREAD Flexible Fulfillment

Question - and if this was posted somewhere I'm sorry -- it's easier than reading through 414 pages. Was there ever a function in the ePick app, similar to the Pickup app, that would tell you where a guest's additional orders are placed? For example: if a guest makes multiple separate orders...

    The Drive Up Thread

Anyone work in a small format store that does drive-up? Reason I ask is currently at my store, every TM on the floor is responsible for Drive-ups (which, on paper, works perfectly) so when one goes off it's getting to the point of either "nose goes" or the same person goes out for every single...

Are ETLs/SD require to rotate stores every 2-3 years?

That honestly depends on your district. Bad leaders won't be moved, and nine times out of ten they will quit before they are terminated (they're usually given the chance to get better, and many of them just can't handle the pressure put on them to get better results). In the 20+ years I have...

Are ETLs/SD require to rotate stores every 2-3 years?

It depends on the store and the leader. There are some SDs that have been in the same store forever (we have one in our district that has been around for the last 10+ years). In my old store the good ETLs always seemed to cycle through the ranks every 18 months to two years. Most of the SDs...

When TMs Do Not Introduce Themselves

I work in a small format store as a leader so I have to know everyone's name. I also always introduce myself during the first shift I work with them so they put a face to a name (well, half a face now). At my old store we had such turnover I was lucky to learn anyone's name that didn't work...
