    Greener Pastures Post Spot?

I left Spot for Costco in April of this year, no regurts. Although, I'd go back to Target if something didn't work out. Didn't hate it enough.

    Resume Help

GET THE FUCK OUTTA SPOT wooo I tried to get a few receptionist jobs but fell short due to automatic rejections or manual reviews and then rejected, lol. I'm happy with where I ended up but this is a good step forward in life for you!

Not entirely crappy, but they're going to wish you would have talked to them first. When I did my resignation, I was generally friendly with my TL, connected with everyone, and I still told no one. It took them by a huge surprise and while they didn't take it bad, they did have the sentiment...

Good luck! I left Spot for "better retail" I'm with Costco now but I make $15/hr and get full benefits even at part time, so, I think that's a win for someone with no degree or real professional work.

Archived What to do with the closetful of red shirts?

Costco's dress code makes me feel so miraculous. Wear whatever, as long as it's a regular polo and pants. Poloing and Jeaning it all day. Gonna bring some Cargo Pants out with me tomorrow since my store isn't open and we're all stuck doing outside marketing in the hot sun.

Archived Leaving Spot (for real this time)

One of the leaders was talking about getting jumped right up to $26/hr if you promote to supervisor. Didn't know if it sounded ridiculous but I guess Target has hardened me🙅 but glad that's what actually happens.

Archived Leaving Spot (for real this time)

One of the guys in my group was hired on for Maintenance, he's an outstanding guy. Our membership training leader was talking about how we got hired, what the store manager(general manager)'s mission was, and the numbers we beat to get to this point. Over 2,000 applicants in the last three...

The bread will literally be bountiful with me there 😂 I am just unbelievably excited about this. Since the store isn't open they want me to go out and twirl signs for them until we can get into the store but I don't 100% want to do that.. but after my membership sales training I got really...

Update to Nuts. I actually finally, legitimately, and absolutely left Spot. May not be forever, but I feel I'm in good hands where I am going. I'm not going to keep it a secret(and haven't for the last week here) but I've been unemployed for about two weeks, been job searching out of the wazoo...

I will always value Target as it was the place where I learned to be social, to be a team, and learning how to be professional. I loved my co-workers, my team leader was spotty at best sometimes, but she was great too. If you're ever looking to make more money doing photo finishing you can...

    Archived Nuts.

My ETL is legitimately sad I want to leave. He was acting really off all day and we sort of talked about it. We're gonna sit down and talk about whats happening, why I feel this way, and see if we can work anything out. I told him Id be open to reduced hours and he says that would be fine, so...

Just put in my two weeks. I have no work lined up. Can't you tell how desperate I was to do this? I've got a nice cache of money to support myself. I am planning on resuming car detailing by time my two week period ends. I've had a lot of interest already and I don't doubt I'll struggle to...

    Archived Been Planning to Leave

That sounds like heaven at Target. I told my team leader about possibly taking a leave sometime in the next month or two to focus on my business. I just re-designed, re-branded my car detailing business and I've got word out about services being available sometime mid march. I've had no takers...

    Archived Team lead dislikes me

Yup, my team leader is probably the only leader at my store who can actually write our schedules, our ETL just audits it. HR still handles availability.

    Archived Team lead dislikes me

It's gonna be that way for the next month or so, into March. Not 100% just four hour shifts, but hours will be below 20 hours a week for a good bit here. I'm lucky to be in a department where I kind of "need" to be there so I'm still getting 29-32 hours but I have a lot of six hour shifts and I...
