    Archived Quitting w/o Notice

I'm not upset that no one noticed. I'd actually prefer it this way. I'm just wondering if I did everything on my end I was supposed to do. Someone I worked w turned in their two week notice the day before I did. They printed out a letter and handed it to HR but they said it had to be done online...

    Archived Quitting w/o Notice

What is the process? This is the second weeks schedule I've been still on.

My schedule, even though I resigned.

    Archived Quitting w/o Notice

I submitted my resignation online and worked out the remainder of my scheduled shifts, up to the date I indicated would be my last. No one (not HR, ETL, TL or other TMs) said anything to me about me leaving (we'll miss you, why are you leaving, good luck, today's your last day, etc.). Not that I...

    Archived Interview today?

There are many around here. One provides temp staffing. You register with them and they call you the day before or morning of when they need help. I've been on assignments that we're one day to one week. Often times the company will hire you on permanently after you've been a temp w them for a...

    Archived Interview today?

My point to them was that staying w Target makes you blind to other opportunity out there. In my state base is pretty near close to the minimum wage so finding a job that pays the same or more than Target without the headaches is fairly easy to do. Obviously a state where base is double the...

    Archived Interview today?

I submitted my resignation and put in a few applications. Waited a week and didn't hear anything back. Contacted a staffing agency and got placed somewhere making near double what I'd been making at Target with a consistent schedule and opportunity for OT. I then received calls from the places I...

Archived Bye for real this time

Just curious why you didn't end up leaving when you initially thought you were.

Archived Bye for real this time

But what about the needs of the business? Target does not have have a place for someone who puts themselves above the company. How dare you think there are better opportunities out there! And as far as going to college? Why even think that's necessary? Soon you'll be making $15 an hour, no...

    Archived Quitting Due to Modernization

Do they have to approve it or anything? Where exactly is the notification for them to see? I submitted my resignation and no one has said anything to me about it at all. No one in HR, ETL, TL or any fellow TMs. Not that it matters, just hoping that they saw I won't be coming back. I'm wondering...

Is there a reason you'd be scheduled as 'unpaid time off' after your resignation date?

    Archived Quitting Due to Modernization

More then twice. As long as you're marked as re-hireable there's no real limit to how many times you can come back. I left due to once in a lifetime opportunities, never any issue w Target. Each year hours were reduced for a month or two but only by about a shift. This past year though hours...

Archived I have returned from a journey to a land far away [out this hoe!]

Don't get too comfortable. You are nothing to Target.

Archived I have returned from a journey to a land far away [out this hoe!]

I'm in contact w a bunch of temp agencies who provide workers to employers in my area. Lots of production and warehouse jobs around here offering 4 10 hour shifts or 3 12s and a weekend day. Not a bad deal if you can make it work w the rest of your life.

    Archived Quitting Due to Modernization

Our truck today was about 2000 pieces and we missed the unload goal by about 10 minutes. As I unloaded the truck I thought about how we used to have two unloading and it'd take us 45 minutes, an hour. Now it's taking us about 2. I'm doing twice the work. Maybe I could paid even 1.5 times as...

    Archived Quitting Due to Modernization

I'm only on one day a week so I don't know most days but the last two trucks I was there for was 1500 and 2500.

    Archived Quitting Due to Modernization

This pretty much sounds like my store in terms of hours and morale. Leadership makes it a point to not have any pallets on the sales floor so that's a plus for modernization I guess. Our backroom is a nightmare though. I asked my STL what was so wrong with the old process and their response was...

    Archived Quitting Due to Modernization

This is definitely an ASSNTS thing. Our entire inbound team is told to punch out right at 4 hours. A day last week we came in only to find hardly any of the pp2 push was stocked. We spent 2.5 hours pushing it. We we're sent home even before the truck was finished and told that they would have...
