This is exactly what I was looking for :) Where do you search for these freelance work? I've always been interested in freelance writing but I have no idea where to search for a job posting?

    Archived Industries?

Hey guys I've been skimming through this section of the forum lately, and I was curious. For those of you who are working around student schedules; have any of you left Target for non-retail jobs? If so, what positions and how did you find them? What are your opinions? I'm keeping my eyes...

    Archived Resume Suggestions?

Keep the work experience on your resume brief. Use bullet points to highlight the core roles of your position that relate to the job you're trying to get. Your cover letter is where you can go into more detail regarding what talents and skills working at Target (and hopefully other companies)...

    Archived Job Dilemma

I definitely did NOT want to leave Target.... But I'm glad I did. You'll honestly feel this weird freedom after you're last shift, and I'm thinking it's because your soul was returned to your body.

@bullseyekindaguy Yeah, our policies and practices are very, questionable... Without going into details, LP here is far less defined from a corporate level than it is with target. Basically the policy is "make sure we aren't liable when sh*t goes down." It's also VERY internal-investigations...

JCPenny! The job title is "loss prevention lead" which translates closest to a combo of SrAPS and APL. It seems like every store and field manager I talk to has a different name for me lol Edit: I'm finding it very difficult to un-brand myself, so pardon any titles, positions, etc etc that I...

I think it will. It'll be easier to stay focused on getting a degree if I have a job I don't take so seriously.

Starbucks. Every exec i had the ..pleasure.. of meeting was so convinced that food was going to be my area, even though I always responded with a firm "My interests and passions are actually in loss prevention and guest experience." ... But they offered me a SBTL position anyway and at this...

    Archived I'm a guest

Well, I'm a guest now. My new TL position wasn't a good fit for me; there was nothing open at my old store, and I wasn't going step down only to commute 45 minutes every day to be a team member, so i put in my notice. It looks like I'm going for a degree now. ;) I'll probably still browse the...

    Archived Taking Leave of Absence

We have college students come back during thanksgiving and christmas all the time. I even considered it myelf; but i can't afford to not work. Like HLM said, talk to anybody in HR. Give your HR the dates you'll be home, and fill out an Educational LOA form on eHR afterwards.

I'd take the other job, too. Do you think that (after you're settled in and adjusted) you'll be happier with your new job or happier with target?

    Archived applebee's?

does anybody have any experience working at Applebee's restaurants? or have any insight? I'm thinking about applying to do hosting, serving, and/or bartending. Consistency of hours? Workplace culture? Anything else? Even any experiences with similar chains/franchises? I've done some research...

    Archived Caribou Coffee?

Just a quick closing note for this thread: I interviewed for a shift supervisor position and got an offer, but declined it. I make over $1 more as a moderately-seasoned team member (PG n07) at target than I would have as a shift sup. at caribou. The offer was the same as the pay I got when I...

    Archived Caribou Coffee?

Does anybody have any experience working at Caribou Coffee? If so, what's it like? I applied for a couple assistant store manager positions, and one shift supervisor position, and am trying to get an idea of what I might be jumping into.. Not every company is lucky enough to have a third-party...
