    BUS (Business Unit Status)

What are these and where can I learn more about them? We don't do any status updates at all (communication is a huge issue at our store). Also for anyone doing them are you seeing benefits or better outcomes from doing them?

    Self-Evaluations

Well, that wasn’t the input I was looking for. Also, That’s a wordy reply to say that you don’t write much. Maybe someone else has something more concrete to share.

    Self-Evaluations

Thought I'd reach out to the community and see what sort of goals are being put down for the coming year. I'm not sure what goals I'll put down. Last year, it was to spend more time in my department (which thanks to Covid and turnover, that ended up being a daily necessity). Probably going to...

    Logistics Greenfield Contact

I was using a hypothetical. However, the replenishment summary does not list item descriptions, only DPCIs and their counts. This is the card I look at primarily for my push, since it is grouped by custom block. I know the data exists, not sure why it's not linked to the summary card though.

    Logistics Greenfield Contact

It's one of the official ones under inbound. Just wanna see if they'll add description to the various cards. Would like to have a better idea what's coming in for my custom blocks. Looking at a list of DCPIs doesn't easily show if I'm getting a lot of say cat food or if it's dog toys. Yeah know.

    Logistics Greenfield Contact

Has anyone here had any success contacting anyone who's built cards/datasets for Greenfield? I have some suggestions and have no clue where to go to send them.

    Realistic timeline TL-ETL

Anticipate leaving your current store to be an ETL. Most of the ETLs that developed at my store had to leave to be an ETL (we didn't have the roles available to promote into at the time). My current GM-ETL transferred from a nearby store to ours, for instance, because we didn't have anyone...

    Not loved by all

Nothing special. Wanted help prepping the line before the start of a second unload. A few uboats were left in their department from the previous unload. And wanted help transferring remaining push to non-dedicated vehicles, so custom blocked ones were available for unload. It's a process we...

    Not loved by all

I'm struggling with the reality that there are team members that don't respect the position of leads. I don't wield my authority with abandon or feel overly powerful to any degree (in reality, I feel inferior to the team I have to lead at times). I had a confrontation with a TM recently after...

    LDR Leadership Role

We have a lot of cross-trained advocates that do GS, Drive-ups, Cashier, SCO and Line Busting. SCO is closest to GSA of old. But that's cause they can change funds and usually call for back-ups. Leads only observe and guide. They don't do any actual ringing of sales up front or back-up...

    LDR Leadership Role

GSA = Guest Service Advocate. Thanks to moderization. Front end is advocates. Beauty, Style and Tech are specialists. GM,Market, Inbound and Fulfillment are experts.

    Leader Recognition

Aren’t you the victim here? Appreciation shouldn’t be viewed as a task. It’s what makes some people get up and come to work. I’m not great at it, but I’m trying to be better.

    Leader Recognition

How often does your ETL/SD call out your contributions? Do you feel you're a valued member of the team? An Asset or a Liability? Do you only get approached when things are bad or you need to address something in your business? What does a healthy relationship in leadership look like?

    Advanced Professional Training

Considering that none of this training is directly associated with store workload, it would be your choice to pursuit it… therefore you'd be doing it off the clock regardless.

    Advanced Professional Training

https://target.percipio.com/ If you're interesting in becoming a better professional person, Target and Skillsoft have a site that provides advanced training programs. These are definitely geared towards HQ-level folks (office dwellers). But, I know there are team members out there that would...

    Performance out

A lot of you are posting the 5 routines, which rolled out with the DBO process. I've been an advocate of these routines since they rolled out. They're tangible habits that can be used to hold someone accountable. Along with a set DBO in the area, which helps when things go south. You can easily...

    Performance out

Appreciate the thorough responses everyone. We're in dire need of quality HR guidance at my store. My SD loves to say how we never have any performance conversations with our team members, when it comes time to let them go. But, they're not very helpful with showing us how to performance a team...

    Performance out

I have to ask the hard question knowing that I'm severely lacking in this area. I don't know how to properly performance out a team member. I don't think any leads at my store are trained well either. We have a lot of team members that are pulling us down. And keeping them on because we...

    Mental Health in Leadership

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful responses! Appreciate the ideas and feedback. I'm gonna try to be more mindful of being too into my head. Maybe catch myself before I start spiraling down a depression hole. Try to develop some better coping mechanisms for my stress too. I started talking to...
