Why do leadership in retail places schedule short shifts instead of fewer days when cutting hours?

Commute 30 minutes to work at Target? Maybe for leadership, but not worth it for a TM when (most) Target(s) pays the same $15/hr as every other retailer and fast food place place.

My weekend availability was only Saturday 8-4. When I started it included Friday evening until close and Sunday 8-1. However I changed my availability and it was approved!

    Reed Group Frustration

So what will applying again do?? Unless you didn't provide all of the necessary documentation, in which case they should have marked your claim as pending, they're just kicking the can down the road.

    Open availability?

Just ask HR when you'll be scheduled for your training. Tell them you only speak English and no accommodations were made for you at the training session that you attended.

    Evaluations/Raises

The first time I worked for Target I was paid $1.25 less per hour than the Q4 seasonals that were in orientation with me. I worked for 6 months until review time before my pay was raised to what the seasonals were paid.

    Question on average hours

Let your schedule maker you'd like more hours going into the holidays. I'd suggest not mentioning that you are looking to get the insurance, but rather that you just want more money to cover expenses due to the upcoming holidays. Also, let your TL know that you are looking for more hours and...

    TL/PG45 Base Pay Increase

I started out in 2014 at $7.75 an hour as a TM. Seasonals that started at the same time were hired in at $9 per hour. I had to wait until review time in 2015 to get bumped up to $9 an hour while the seasonals who had come and already gone earned that for the holiday season. Target has many...

Contact the hopital's (or urgent care, or wherever you went) records department and ask them what you need to do to get the records... usually have to sign a release, and may have to pay a fee(usually per page). Or contact the billing department and ask for an itemized copy of the bill. You...

    Seasonal OPU to Presentation?

Like @Hardlinesmaster said, just keep coming in... until you're told not to. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what your store's intent is. Either you are really being moved to Presentation, or, they have just "stuck" your name there until they can have THE talk with you. Stores...

    Seasonal

Sometimes seasonals are told at the end of their shift that it's their last day, even though they still are listed on the schedule. As a seasonal, you need to assume that you will be let go. So start job hunting now.
