Hello,
So I have a question. I am nervous asking but oh well…
First, is there a specific form that has mental health stuff listed? Because the form I got when I worked for Target years ago didn’t have anything for mental health. Only physical health.
I have a disability (Autism & Schizoaffective Disorder are a few) and I need to have a schedule that works for my mental health.
As well as does not have so many hours where I end up losing benefits (this is not the whole reason, but it is a part of things). I need them basically.
Because if I don’t have the medication I need, I will not be able to work at all. I also receive services for my disability.
What would be the best way to approach this?
ChatGPT says I should ask informally at first and then if that does not work I should make a formal HR request.
If that does not work I could try closing off my availability I guess.
I did ask informally years ago and things were going fine, but when the holidays came up I started getting more hours.
I am anticipating hours will drop in January, so hopefully this is not a huge problem.
I like my job at Target and would like to keep it.
Note (Important): I do have Open Availability from 12am to 12am. Basically I was told to do that from a Disability Job Program I went to. So that could be a reason I am getting more hours now. I get that it is the Holdiay’s and I DO want to help. Right now I can (it’s complicated but I can explain via PM if someone wants). But regularly it would become an issue.
