Archived availability change for holidays

Do i have to change my availability every time there is a holiday that i want to work (granted that on the day of the holiday, i'm unavailable on the availability chart). for example, say my regular availability does not include mondays. but i want to work on labor day which is a monday. i'm kinda confused
 
You might just be able to tell the person who makes the schedule for your area. I mentioned that I was bummed I didn't get scheduled for today, esp when I AM available on Mondays, and normally work on Monday. Next day I got called and offered a shift. Not fond of the shift hours and they're outside of my availability, but I sure as heck took the shift!
 
Whenever I was scheduled off for a holiday, I let leadership know that I was available just in case & I ALWAYS got called in.
Namely because we always have call-outs.
 
You can do a temporary availability change on eHR for that specific week. You may want to also mention it to whomever writes your schedule.
