From the handbook, page 26: At least 4 hours worked and less than 7 gets one 15 minute break; at least 7 and less than 11 gets two 15 minute breaks; 11 or more hours gets three 15 minute breaks.
By default, you must take a 30 minute meal break if you work at least 6 hours. However, state laws have different requirements in AK, CA, CO, DE, FL, IL, KY, LA, MD, MI, NV, NJ, NY, ND, OH, OR, PA, UT, and WA. Look up your state labor laws if you work in one of those states.
15 minute breaks are paid. 30 minute meal periods are off the clock; you must clock out before and clock in after. The clock will not accept your punch if it is early; you must take a full 30 minute break.
