OP sounds like one of those douchey guys that boasts about how strong he his, and then when he tries to show off, he fumble or drops whatever the fuck he's holding. Usually because of his adrenaline rush from the excitement to show off his "strength." Then everyone laughs and laughs....

Team lift sticker = calling a TM for help.

Just curious. Our SFTMs or Front end is always calling the backroom for team lifts and carry outs. It's pretty annoying because it's just something that almost anyone working should be able to lift with ease like 55inch TVs or mini fridges or cube shelves.

It's like arkward when the TM and Lod just standing there while me or the other BRTM just beasts the item without help

Can you guys lift? It might be because my SF team is mostly female.

Gr8 B8 m8. I r8 8/8 u cheeky b8er master. i do appreci8 the e4t no need 2 h8.

Can you stop stereotyping everybody that isn't on your team?

Yes, I can lift a 55inch TV or mini fridge or cube shelf myself.

Should I? No, it's probably not safe for my back and I'll probably injure myself. I've done it before. I've also proceeded to just ignore it and move on.

They call for assistance because it's heavy. For christ's sake, if you got injured on the job I know you'd be here complaining ENDLESSLY about it.
Get gud. There's a question on the app that says you need to be able to lift a certian amount. It's a pain in the ass to run to the front of the store to help someone that shouldn't of been hired

The last time I looked at store job openings the only one that said must be able to lift 40lbs was for flow or backroom tm, not sales floor. Check it out. I could be wrong

Here's what you do ... Don't answer. If it's so hard, just don't answer. You may not like the outcome of not answering a call for help, but no one is forcing you to go.

And I feel sorry for you the day you ever need help.

Is this a misogyny thing or a SF vs logistics beef? You still get paid to help your coworkers get over yourself.

Why have someone do something you can do? I do all team lifts and carry outs.

From my point of view it is salesfloor TMs that are lazy and in need of things to do.

Working in signing (which I'm sure someone thinks is a lazy person's job, so spare me your opinion) I hear this everyday.

"The flow team is lazy. They can't even put stuff in the right place."

"Backroom has it easy. They don't have to respond to backups."

"All cashiers do is scan stuff. A monkey could do that."

Me? I go in, do what I'm asked to do, clock out, go home.

I lift most of the extra heavy team lift shit up solo. Basketball hoops, the old armoires, gazebos, etc. Once had to right a Wave someone somehow tipped over. Yeah I'm not weak

As someone who has recently applied, it said "with assistance" also your job description says, "assist with heavy merchandise lifts." so it's your dam job to go and help with team lifts. You can be a smart-ass all you want, and try to not do your job. But don't come over here and shame people for following proper lift procedures.

If I ever got coached for not asking for a Team Lift.

I would call for a Team Lift every time I pick up a Signing Box that weighs 1lb, yet still has a Team Lift sticker on it.
LOL... honestly, i ignore the team lift stickers (unless its ridiculous). I know how to carry items safely. Some things are stupid for having a sticker but some aren't.

It's a shame you are still fighting for a job and he has one he doesn't want

Feed the jb troll!

I'm 6' 4", 235 lbs and the only time I call for team lifts is if I'm bringing up a flex order that's a team lift and lanes are slammed so I do the carry out. I'll follow that in front of guests. But my ETL-HR was by me one time moving one of those large boxes with lawn & patio and didn't say a thing. Side bar: how about those boxes for the 8' gazebos/pergolas. Quad lift? I stand them up behind a pole and chain it there til a guest is in store to buy it.

But really. Don't hurt yourself for $10 an hour. I know what I can and can't do, but I'll never judge a TM for asking for a team lift on something I could sling myself. Call someone for a team lift or leave it (if it's for a guest call the LOD if you're ignored). I always tell the newbie backroom trainees to never extend themselves where they think it risks their safety. #1 in my backroom. Fuck the metrics. Can't be green if you're in the hospital or at home rehabibilitating.

when I have a heavy Get for Guess I leave it at the GS and run back to the back

If I can lift so can someone else. Imagine actually calling a SFTM to help me pull FURN cafs lol. Shit outta luck
