Going off my original question, I was wonder what everyone here prefers.

I prefer the normal PDA's if only for the keypad. Makes backroom work a lot easier. I do like the slim feel of the lpda's though

There was a time a couple years ago I loved a LPDA and strived to get one. But the keypad finally got to me and it just turned me off. I love how easy it is to store on yourself, but I'll take a regular 9200 PDA anyday.

I'm fine with either as far as being able to type on them is concerned since I'm used to having a flip phone and the way you need to text on those. Only thing I prefer the LPDAs for is being able to scan a little easier it seems. Reason I say that, is aside from three or maybe four PDAs, the trigger doesn't work to scan so you have to use the yellow button below the screen. Which, if you try to one hand it, makes holding it a little awkward.

I work backroom day side and I prefer the lpda. Hate the regular PDA.

I hate the PDAs that have the triggers that don't work. I love the 2 PDAs that have the carry cords attached because I can't stand to wear the holsters.

It honestly depends on what I'm doing.

Consumables - PDA (can use Y and N for QMOS)
Backroom - PDA
Instocks - LPDA
Receiving - PDA
Pricing - PDA
Salesfloor - LPDA (with my iPhone and target app to look up items for guests and snag a DPCI to use on the LPDA).
Team Leader on my closing night - LPDA

So for me, it really depends on my primary role for the day as far as what device I prefer. Although, anymore I'll pretty much take what I can get my hands on.

As someone who is often the fitting room/operator, I prefer the PDA because it is harder to lose on a desk full of clothing, the keypad makes it a lot easier to look up items by keyword for in store and on phone guests, and... I like being able to shoot it like a gun. *pew pew*

As a GSA, an LPDA. Alerts are crucial, it's easy to carry around with a pocket/belt clip holster, and I'm used to it. The only issue is if the stylus is missing, then it becomes a nightmare.

PDAs all the way. Fits in my hand nicely for two or three hours of scanning and having an actual keyboard's great when looking up items.

Wait, LPDAs have a stylus? Everyone at our store just uses their fingers or a pen.

Each PDA comes with a stylus too. Shocker!

(that's what the hole in the bottom of the handle is for)

They get ripped off the first day. Use a pen on an LPDA for In-Stocks. The weight of the PDA hurts my wrist after a few hours(i broke my wrist a few years ago) and a PDA has problems scanning cosmetics labels. LPDA for everyday use.

Depends on the position I'm in!

If It's a role that has helpful alerts (GSA, TLOD) then I prefer a LPDA. It works better with alerts imho, and is easier to clip onto your belt.

Anything that doesn't really need alerts, PDA. They're easier to keep track of, and the physical keyboard makes searching easier. Plus, for backroom or sales floor, it's easier to scan items quickly.

LPDA for this guy. When I was a GSTL we had them and I grew to like them better. I can work with the PDAs but I prefer the little ones.

LPDA for pretty much everything. If someone doesn't calibrate the touch screen well it's tough to use but then I just warm boot it and do it again.
LPDAs can get annoying when you're doing POG stuff but I hate the PDA belts and how bulky the PDA is.

Yeah, every PDA comes with a stylus, though any new PDAs that we get the stylus disappears within a week of use, so... yeah. I use a iPad/iPhone/tablet stylus on mine.

You do know you can recalibrate the screen. Reboot is one way, the other is through menus to get to the calibration screen, sorry without a device in font of me, telling you how would be wrong. I have to fumble to find it, since I don't use it that often.

If I'm pushing a CAF or handling large items, I prefer an LPDA because of the holster. Otherwise, I'd rather have the keypad and trigger of a PDA.
