Hey guys
So today I had my first time doing batches alone and in the beginning was pretty bad. My first batch I was doing fine and by the time it was put to hold I had to inf multiple items since I had little time and I didn’t have a radio to tell anyone so is that okay if I inf if I’ve looked and I can’t tell anyone? Then during bagging my device turns on and off every minute and ended up making me look worse already by the time I finished it hit -12 minutes because the device kept screwing with me then it happened for the next few batches and made my time worse I got to -30 then almost negative an hour because it kept screwing with me and there were no extra devices to switch it with. Every time I was atleast doing decent or better than the previous one something happened like during my last batches I had about 15 minutes which is enough time to grab the last few 8 items and bag from the freezer and I get them but I’m about to scan my sticker but it ended uo falling off somewhere then I had to run across the store and reprint but then I found out all our sticker machines were down except 3 but they were being used so I had to wait then by the time I made it back to the freezer across the store my device basically said screw you and turned off and on for a few minutes and by the time I scanned it all and made it back to hold I had about A minute or so before it hit negatives so yay something popped up every time. Though I had the hardest time finding stuff in beauty and healthcare stuff for gen merch. If I also tried to call on the radio to a tl about inf and no response is it okay to inf since half my shift I didn’t have a radio and I had to inf atleast a few things each batch I did and couldn’t for the first half then when I got a radio sometimes they didn’t respond and I had too little time so is that okay to inf if I tried to reach out and looked

@seaweed8338, Breath. Now that you did that, take your time. You’re trying to do too much too soon. I get it, you’ve just started and want to do a good job. As @Hardlinesmaster said, ask your lod on duty for a radio before you begin your work shift. Because you are given a radio, not EVERY call 📞 will be answered because certain things you will need to “work through”. If you are currently working fulfillment by yourself (No one else with you), you must be capable of working by yourself. Do just that. Good luck 👍🏾

For inf,s every store is different. My store you must always call a leader for inf’s no exceptions. Some stores don’t care as much about inf’s. Ask your leader what they want you to do about inf’s. You always need a walkie. If there are no walkies available partner with a leader maybe a cashier or someone who doesn’t need one as much can give up theirs. Same with a device partner with a leader if your device is acting up and there is no more available. Partner with drive up team when you’re stowing and running short on time. If drive up not busy they can help you stow to make it a little quicker. Don’t be afraid to ask other flex people for tips and advice. It will get easier as you go. Don’t stress too much.

Well I finished my training days and it wasn’t hard to find most items but my device screwed me over and I went over every batch I did

I couldn’t really take my time since I was hitting 5-10 minutes left to prep and stow by the time I finished the batch or had to inf last few I couldn’t find and I went over by the time I finished stowing

If your having that many issues you should be talking to whatever lead is in charge of fulfillment at the time and they can hopefully get you another device and walkie. You should be checking in with somrone at the start of your shift. That being said just learn from what you did today and just improve everyday its a lot of little things to learn that'll help you get faster but its a lot of information to take in. It just takes time.
