Archived Happy New Year! Question about Direct Deposit....

So I normally get paid Friday's. How come I got paid overnight last night? Is it a Target thing or a Bank thing? I mean it's not like tomorrow is a holiday.

I got paid both my jobs today. Most likely the bank.

Interestingly enough I just joined Target Credit Union and they give all your direct deposits two days prior. You still get paid Friday but they actually float your money to you on Wednesdays without consequences.

It's a bank thing - a perk of direct deposit.

Most of my employed life, I was paid the 15th and the last day of the month (so 24 instead of 26 paychecks a year). Every time the pay date fell on Saturday or Sunday (or a holiday), I'd get paid the day before. Target paper check payday is Friday, but direct deposit hits on Thursday, since today is a holiday, it hit yesterday.

I never get my direct deposit on Thursday. Almost makes dd pointless

True. I live about 7 minutes away from my job. And that's walking, not driving. 5 minutes on a bike.

I live 5 minutes away, I love it. My previous job had me going all over the place! I barely burn any fuel at all nowadays.
