help with knowing whether my shift i called off for is approved and i won’t get in trouble!

Hey guys! I’m really sick so I called off of work two hours before my shift but i’m not sure if it’s been approved? my shift is still there and when i look at the status of the request it has a blue thumbs up next to it? i’m not sure if that means i’ve submitted it or if it’s been approved? i don’t want to get in trouble for not showing up but i really don’t think i can work today. 🙁(

The thumbs up means it has been acknowledged & seen by leadership. Make sure you submit sick hours if you have any to protect yourself from being written up if you call out a lot. You will likely be asked about your call off, but if you use sick time they can't hold it against you.
