I've been pulling 30+ hours since before the holidays, and right now between everything I do I am as close to 40 as they will let me get most weeks. Typically I work 6 days every week (4 hours Sunday AM, then the rest of the day off), but now....
HR tells me that there is a TM coming back from disability and is on light duty, so he's going to "help" me with the ad. What should have been said is "He's taking two days of work away from you."
Luckily/unluckily for me I can probably pick up some hours for price change or plano, or even a salesfloor shift.. but I shouldn't have to run begging to my TLs/swap board for hours because someone else got hurt and the only thing they can do is MY job. There is a reason why I like doing what I do, and it is mostly because I don't get bugged to do other stuff while I'm hiding in the conference room/TL office.
