Can I work the 730pm-4am shift on Thanksgiving and then a 6am-2:30pm shift black Friday? Or does this 8 hour in between shifts apply

Depending on the state it can be more of a guideline than rule.... If you're volunteering to do it you should be okay. As to whether they can schedule you that, more than likely not.

I picked up the black Friday shift in a shift swap. And then a tm asked me to pick up the thanksgiving shift . I wasn't scheduled for either one.

Depending on your store and state may have certain rules and laws about working so many hours.

It can. I picked up a cashier shift thursday from 7pm-12:30 am then friday 1am-9am
