Said it before, I'll say it again:
If your TL asks you if you "know how to do xx?" & you don't, tell them "No, but I'd like to learn!" It shows your eagerness to learn & helps you become global (knowing how to work various work centers for the newbs). The more you know, the more likely you'll be scheduled or can pick up hrs on the swap board.
On days off, keep a change of red & khaki in the car & your cell ON in case they call. Even if you have to say no sometimes, answering/responding gets you on the A-list. I heard SO many TMs complain about not getting any hrs but never answered their phone or declined shifts offered because it cut in on their "fun time". Keep losing hrs & you won't be able to afford that "fun time".
Be willing to come in early or stay later. Leadership will ask TMs to stay if they can't get anyone to come in, esp on weekends.
Over the yrs I was global to the teeth & worked ask many as four different areas in a day, hence the nickname "Flo Ho".
Despite the cuts, I managed to keep my bennies until I left.
