Archived how long to wait for orientation?

So I just finished all my interviews and got the job offer. I was told orientation would be soon and that they would email me. They also said that they were sending an email out that I would just need to ignore. I never got any sort of email and it's been a week now. Is this normal??

Mine took 3 weeks. I should have taken that as a sign. I kept calling and getting a variety of reasons for the delay. HR on vacation, waiting for enough hires to hold an orientation, HR off today......blah blah blah. I was hired in Nov, a time when you would think Target would be a well oiled machine handling new hires.
Give them a call.

Mine took 3 weeks back in Feb of this year. They scheduled it after my drug test results came back clean, but it had to be scheduled twice do to them not getting my background check back in time. depending on where they use for it it can take several weeks.

Mine took a little over a month from hire date to orientation date. It was originally set for two weeks after my hire date, then moved to three weeks later because I had surgery a week before, and then moved up a week.

Mine was two weeks after final interview. Had to wait for the drug test and background check to comeback clear, then an extra couple days as I had to go to an orientation at a different store (the one I trained at, not that I work at now).

HAHAHAHA. They told me to ignore the email so I did. I called after the date of the email and asked when orentation would be and their reply was "You should've received an e-mail."

That was the first red flag that went over my head.

mine took almost a month because they lost all my drug tests.... but yeah it usually lasts like a week or two.

As often quoted here,"ASANTS", I applied last fall, seasonal flow, was contacted the next day, interview 3 days later, first day of work was 10 days after applying.

It really does depend. I think between my interview and orientation, it was like 10 days. Buy I was hired as seasonal, so that could've been a factor.

I actually am in a similar situation. I applied, was interviewed, and offered a job all in one day. I was told by the HR representative that offered me the job that my orientation would be the following Thursday, (July 9th) and that I should call the day before to confirm. All in all I'd say get in touch with the store and politely ask about orientation.
