I was just terminated.

The fact you admitted, in writing, to stealing is enough grounds for termination. We've had amazing TM's who stole something once and were terminated.

The rest is immaterial.

Take the advice offered and exit as quiet as possible.
I'm exiting with a BOOM baby, because I have receipts, written statements, voice recordings, videos, witnesses, and testimonies!

Taking things without asking is never ok.

Go ahead and turn in those statements, get them fired as well.
No ones ever asked, I highly doubt that they'll fire every employee expect for the ones at checkout, but since you think you're sooo right!

Why would we? It's Target's product they bought and paid for, they can do with it whatever they want.

I think it's over the top that people are just going to take something that they didn't pay for.
Yeah, an item that's going to the trash anyway? You sound ignorant, if you bought a apple, ate half of it, and threw it away, would you be upset if a homeless person decided to eat the rest? No longer entertaining you, it's very loud and wrong, and my energy has to go to my baby, and school, and my new job!

Sure you do.

We won't hold our breath waiting for the breaking news that a thief stole and successfully sued a major corporation.

I hope your lawyer is working pro bono.
Oop, actually I think I can already tell what age group you're in, what you look like, you're definitely male for one. Very solid behind target are we? I can picture you now LOL, thank you for being so bothered by my post baby!😘

No, you're ignorant here.

No one is bothered by your post. You're adamant that you stealing is ok, and rationalizing that because it was going to the trash that it's ok. Well, you found out that it's not, and doubling down on wasting your assets that should be going to your child, on suing a corporation that you stole from.

It boggles the mind.

The article you're trying to quote speaks of returned product, not DEFECTED AND TRASHED product. if you're speaking of
"Secure our assets. Follow our security procedures to secure Target assets. Unless you’re authorized, physical assets should never be removed from Target property without permission or used for personal gain or benefit. Protect and use Target equipment and systems primarily for Target business., and return immediately upon request or change of work arrangement." Then how come no one around me...reported it? Because it was normal, and also not discussed in....DING DING DING training.

AP reported it...

Funny you forgot the answer.

"No, they may not. Even if merchandise is damaged or to be disposed of, it’s still Target property and needs to be accounted for and properly processed for inventory purposes. Voice your concerns immediately."

You're only boggling you're own mind love. Agree to Disagree at best, the item was in.....the trash... i'm not sure what else ur looking for, it was also ONE pair, out of a package. Be blessed though instead of getting sleep you chose to stay up to debate with an 18 year old, on a forum...too much time on your hands please get a life. And befor eyou say anything about my age and try stereotyping... (I'm married, in college, a junior actually with an aviation major, pay my own bills, and i'm already back working a 9-5) Stay miserable!

Love, this is my normal time to be awake. I'm spitting facts at you in between playing my games.

I'm sensing a healthy portion of Dunning-Krueger in you, thinking you know it all, but knowing nothing.

I was that way at 18 too.

I've been made aware you lack female attention and arguing with me gets you off, but you'll have to pick someone else!

You're totally right. Capitalism has not worked out for our general benefit.

Oh my stars. Really, @imlanae, you'd do well to look up what Dunning-Krueger is. Like @HInbound and most people who have done some growing up since being 18, I once was far more confident than I had any right to be at that age too, until about age 22 when I finally started figuring out that I didn't know as much as I thought I did. Increasing my humility quotient was a very good thing.

Your being married and with a baby doesn't mean you're all grown up. Plenty of people are on accelerated academic paths (I was myself, for all that) but that doesn't mean they make wise decisions about everything. And yay that you have a new job; hope it works out better for you.

And BTW your half-eaten apple analogy is not equivalent to taking defected merch. A private person making a personal decision about something they purchased and tossing it in the trash is not the same as a TM following corporate procedures about defective or returned product.

Please do keep us all informed of the progress of your lawsuit. It'll make for some fascinating reading.
