Intermittent family leave?

Has anybody taken intermittent family leave? I took 6 weeks with the birth of my daughter and I want to take another 4 before she turns 1 but the FMLA website says intermittent family leave is subject to employer approval.

Does Target allow this as a policy or is it on a case by case basis subject to your immediate leaders approval?

(I know it would be unpaid)

If you are taking 4 weeks, it wouldn't be an intermittent leave.

Ah ok, I misunderstood the definition of intermittent leave then. Appreciate it!

There was at a point a family care leave, for 30 days, if that is still an option. The leave site will tell you what leaves are available to you. I do want to stress when it says employer approval it means the leave administration not store level management- only personal leaves are at store discretion.
