Archived LOD signed for lady

A lady i checked out today forgot to sign for her credit card and i called the lod over and she signed it is this legal

I don't think so but what was the other choice, void the sale.
The guest didn't get receipt then?

I'm guessing it was a paper copy and not on the reader, so she got her receipt anyway. I've always (and I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do) just put the blank slip in the drawer if they forgot to sign.

It's the correct thing to do. @daninnj The signature is just a way to protect ourselves against them coming back saying that purchase never happened/wasn't them, it's not entirely necessary.
