Please clarify...

Let say, I have an order to pick 2 items (same dpci) and I have to go to the backroom to get the items, I scan the location label, then I scan the items in that location, found the item. The order is 2 needed, then the prompt is how many did you pick? There are four items in the box, the first time I did it I put 4 but I got invalid amount , so I put 2, accepted, then it says if there are any remaining, set aside to back-stock. When it was done with the pda, you had to put the quantity in the box (4) and back stock the rest.
My question is, since only 2 is being removed from that location, and unopened boxes cannot be left in the location, do I use the take function to remove the remaining 2 and then stow them in another location?

Yes, you just need to toggle over to myWork and fix it.

This is a known flaw issue with Move at the moment. If it asks you to pull 2 out of a casepack of 4 and only lets you enter a maximum of two. Tell it you pulled 2, locate it in your cart, and check with myWork how many are still located there. If it kept half the casepack (2) located, and you've got a PDA, LOCU the location and take the casepack out and stow it elsewhere. This is done to prevent your SFQ from updating when you 'take' with myWork. If you don't have a PDA then you'll just have to deal with the SFQ error and take and restow with myWork until they fix this issue.
or just "take" it and stage it on the pull line to be pushed

You can also use TAKE from the zebra to pull the extras out of location and stow them back into a location.. In a hurry I will pull the extras out and leave on the never ending backstock tubs.

I did that last year, but I kept having the same item come up in later batches and I was like "wait what tub did I put it on...I just had it!"

Yeah true it does happen. But sometimes I just didn't have time to stow it.. I try or I will just pull the entire case and keep it. Taking(take) what it leaves in location as well..

At least now I know why that is happening.

My STL said that we could use RFID for items that cannot be found when doing flexible fulfillment via the move app. How do I do this?

Well u can only use it on RFID items (softlines and domestics)..... first u have to connect RFID and mydevice together.... then open the RFID app on the mydevice.... then click locate item and type on the dock number... then click locate I think.... it will show a picture of the item at the top and on the bottom there is a hot and cold bar..... when u see blue it means u r close to the item
