Archived My height actually got me coached

So, what had happened was that I was ringing out a couple buying some beats I assisted them with. Tall people (maybe in the 5'11 and up range?) Anyhow, while I waited for their card to go through, I just kinda observed my surroundings like I always do. Just them, straying customers in the books and my go backs behind me. I check them out and sent them on their way but the couple stayed at the boat for awhile to put away their wallet and collect themselves. I turn around, grab my cart of go-backs and scuttled off to the video games section.

Maybe about 5-10 minutes later, my TL pulled me aside to ask my why I had ignored a guest. I had no idea what she was talking about. Apparently when I turned my back to the couple, there was actually someone behind them that I didn't see. She thought I flat out ignored her and told my TL. No "Excuse me ma'am" or anything to signify that she was there. I didn't hear nor see her whatsoever (I'm 5'1.) So I was coached on to always look around for guests to make sure no one is missed. I understood but felt like all of this could have been avoided if maybe she had let her presence be known? ;~;

Its 1 coaching. She probably complained and unfortunately your TL felt like a coaching was in order. Probably because they had to deal with the guest complaint. Don't worry about it. In the scheme of things it shouldn't really make a difference unless it happens constantly

I can't stand it when guests do this kind of thing. Pet peeve.

That was someone who just wanted to find something wrong and ruin someone else's day.

I got coached about 3 weeks ago (I was a PA), for asking for help with Freezer pulls, I went in that day with a scratched cornea so I had to keep one eye shut or it felt like it was being stabbed with a hot fork. Someone went through and shot full research in the Freezers and I ended up with a tub and a full Metro of Freezer. I asked for help four times over the walkie to no response as I knew it would put me behind on the Dairy, Produce 1, Produce 2, and Meat Pulls. I ended up getting coached for not specifically asking for a TL to help me.

Now I am Signing Specialist ;p
