So I was on Vacation during open enrollment and I missed out on it. Apparently I was automatically enrolled in Long-Term Disability as a tobacco user. The only thing is I don't smoke and I don't want Long term Disabilty insurance (or whatever). How do I get rid of this so I don't have to pay for this for the next year?
I believe that the long term disability is only valid once you fill out the forms from the disability insurance company and they accept you. I filled out the forms because I WANTED it. I was denied because of a pre-existing thing. I'm thinking of appealing the decision.
