Hey everyone, just got hired for Inbound-GM and was told by HR that it would be a 5am, sometimes 6am shift.

My question is, what does your day to day look like? What time do you go to sleep, what do you do after work? Is this a viable job for college students?

4a-12n here, for 7 yrs. Good exercise, day goes by fast. Store 30 min drive. Bed by 830p. After work? Feed the dog, count my money, go to the gun club for some shooting and fishing. Nice.

If you're a lark, sure. If you're a night owl, maybe not. We've had some students and plenty of young 20-somethings on that shift. If you like to hang out with friends late into the night, it's going to be tough having to be at work so early and doing a good job.

Don't make a habit of showing up late. We have a couple 20-somethings who are fairly consistently a few minutes late. Doesn't sound like much but TLs notice that kind of thing.

Tired all day. Struggling to get up. Necessary to take a little nap during meal break and after work when get home. Feel like a zombie at least the first few hours of work.

Our STL now SD always had some snack stuff and a pot of coffee on all morning. Nice touch, he moved on to another industry, I liked working for/with him.
