bowling is taking the boxes from the truck and sliding them down the aisle they go into, near the spot they will be stocked.
Then afterward a tm can quickly move through the aisles to stock those items quickly.

Push is the term for the freight that comes off the truck.

Pulls are the items that come from the stockroom shelves to be put on the salesfloor based on what has been purchased.


I've often thought the term 'pushing pulls' is a hilarious reference to the fictional animal 'push me pull you', a two headed confused furry thing.

I'm not sure about other stores but bowling means throwing stuff down the aisles and breaking a crap ton at our store!
