Archived Question for an HR about in regards to a rehire

I've worked 2 years and 1/2 at Target. I found a better job in the summer and left target to go to the new job... the new job didn't work out..
so just over 30 days later I submitted an application in after my boss told me to do so.. They hired me back, but with a chunk out of my paycheck.. The HR at our store
said there was nothing that she could do about it. It's crazy, and makes no sense. I just want a little more information besides blaming target policy. A policy
that Team Members clearly don't have 100% access to in regards to rehires.
 
Unless you negotiated it, you're not going to get the same rate. It's not best practice to give you the same rate anyway, you're going to start from scratch I believe.
 
exactly what soft lines said, once you leave so does your pay..... You wont get the same pay if you leave and come back, regardless of how much time you are gone for.
