What is your task each day? I feel as though I do more work compared to other tm at my store and at other stores I've trained at. I was told that my main job when I applied is to just set tables/convertibles, but as soon as I got done with training at another store, they also made me do the adjacency each week.

Now trying to finish all POG plus work on trying to get the adjacency done by Tuesday is hella overwhelming and gives me little room to prep. I'm doing every POG for softlines besides the basic block. From what I've heard from others stores, they just do department 162-165 or something like that. But for me, I also have to do children accessories, backwall accessories and jeans.

From what I've heard at other stores, brand tm like me only does table/convertibles and were both LV stores. Am I being overworked or is this normal?

I think it may be normal to be overworked. When we had specialists we had a softlines program that ran pretty smooth. Jewelry would handle accessories, Shoes would handle shoes, one Main brand TM who handled most of the tabled work especially setting; and another brand TM who did more maintaining of those sets rather than the set itself (researching, etc). For the adjacency we always had each TL handle the adjacency for their own department. They would have one, maybe two helpers, and that would be it.

Now? Well, a couple AEs, position eliminations, and several ETLs later our softlines crew is a giant mess. We have competent brand TM (out of two competent TMs) and she does almost everything. Luckily the leadership over there is shall we say "lacking" and there aren't any consequences to not getting things done because it is impossible to expect one person to do the work of every department, but they do. However - despite all that, our OTHER brand TM does handle all the tables/convertibles. and that is pretty much that. So yes, on one hand our brand TM handles ONLY tables and convertibles, however our OTHER brand TM does literally everything. So, in the end I guess it depends.

Depends on your store... We split up the workload evenly for brand tms and tls. One brand tm and one tl will do the adjacency and the other brand tm will do tables. Or tl will do tables. Always try to make it equal workload.

So I am being duped? Our tl doesn't do ****. She'll do like half a block and leave out of nowhere. For adjacency it's usually just me and 1 other brand tm... that's it.

Well hang in there and keep doing what your asked, sooner or later the etl or stl will notice. If it is really bothering you go to your etl softlines. However, if im setting and adjacency with a brand tm and have to get pulled away to do something else, I will always let the tm know so they dont get upset. Sometimes tls have to do many other things and dont get to complete entire projects.

I pretty have been in the same boat for the last two months. We had one other brand TM transfer to another store across the country at the exact same time another brand TM was taking her maternity leave. Meanwhile, my SLTL gets promoted to Senior and all of this work falls on me. It's been a nightmare and it's burned me out. We hired one brand during this time, but I have been training her, which takes extra time. Ugh. I think you're being overworked, and while it may be normal, it's not right.

One brand tm should not carry the burden of all pogs in soft lines. It should be partnered with tl's too. I had to remind a new sl tl of that facts hen i was trying to help a guest. I did printed the labels for a unset pog & pull the items. I was standing at 4 ft area that was very empty of anything & get blown off by her. The pog was 3 days late. Now get with the program, new tl!

Though we have one official SL Brand Team Member, there are actually two team members who do many of the sets for the various tables. The two SL Team Leads also help out. Meanwhile, our shoe sponsor sets up any POGS in shoes, our Lingerie sponsor sets up POGS in Lingerie and Active. In general, the entire team helps out where needed. We try to set the tables ASAP, usually the week before the adjacency, this way they can simply be moved into place the following week. The Team Leads usually set the adjacency, but the Brand Team Member, as well as one or two other team members will help. If possible, we have 2 or 3 people each taking a block. So for example, if all goes well, the week prior to the RTW adjacency, all the tables are set. Then on Monday, one or both Team Leads come in at least an hour earlier and begin the adjacency. Then one or two other team members will be assigned to help, usually the Brand Team member and if possible one more. One could do the Women's Plus Block, one does Merona, one does Mossimo Black and so on. Granted, it doesn't always work out this way, but it's how we try to work it out. All soft lines team members that work during the day usually are able to help out. It's a lot of work, especially on weeks when more than one adjacency is due, but so far so good. This week, RTW is done on time, but we still have a few tables left to set, which should be done by the end of this week.
