SnapChat

Not me.. I do know about some Tm's' who do use it. One tm called out & posted all the party pictures, he was at the same night. Mgt saw it & had a chat with them.

Alot of people at my store do the same thing, I don't get it.. Why would u lie and then blast it all over things you know coworkers see lol

A girl at my store just got termed but before that she NCNS and posted pictures of her at the beach. But for some reason before that she had befriended the GSA on Snapchat. Really smart.

Had a TM rush out on a closing shift because her kid was 'sick' & she 'had to rush them to the hospital'.
Turned out to have a runny nose & she posted pix of her & her friends out clubbing.
Despite that, leadership couldn't touch her because of the social media policy they had in place.

I have a strict personal policy that I don't add co-workers on social media. They have my number in case they need to ask me a question when I'm not there, but other than that contact is at a serious minimum.

I had a TM who called out for being "horribly sick" in his own words, then on snap chat, surprise!!! He was at a very famous musical festival/concert. I don't have social media other than this but my TMs do and they all tell me what goes on and they let me see it for my own eyes lol

Did you ask him how the festival was?

When TMs ask why I don't ever be friends with them, I ask what they would expect me to do when they call in and I see that someone tagged them out at the bar.

Instagram is the snapchat of my store.. It May only be in my state, but where I'm from it is pretty much illegal for them to ask why you aren't coming to work. Never mind coaching you for calling out and because you were at the beach. I can only coach if they do it routinely.

I will say the few TMs I have on my twitter were able to confirm the emergency I took a few days off for were not BS.

I still never tell them why I'm calling out.
"Hey it's sher I can't come in today"
"...okay"
"have a good day!"

If I say I'm sick, they might be like "yea, but you're here with the sniffles all the time..." I called out for a concert once lol. I made the call early in the morning (cousin's friend canceled and he bought the tix, so I saw fka twigs for free) so they had time to get someone in.

On the initial topic, I use snapchat only because my nieces mom uses it... And some celebrities lol. So I just stalk other people on it.

The newer ETLs at my store will hound you. "Are you sure you can't come in? We really need you. Are you sure?" One of the very few times I called out, I came very close to describing exactly what (unpleasant, TMI) symptoms I was experiencing. Thankfully this now ex-ETL didn't ask one more time if I was sure I needed to stay home.

Yea, I did that once last year lol. An lod was like "you have to be careful with your attendance" and I told her I'd come if I wasn't having xyz symptoms.

I have one etl who tries to guilt people into coming. I think I'm so short with it from the beginning that she just doesn't know what to say. From what I've learned when answering the phones and occasionally an lod taking callouts on the FR phone is everyone in my store gives a full story when they call out and then the lod tries to use it against them "but your son was also sick yesterday... You can't get him some medicine and a babysitter?" I also realized that I don't call out enough for them to be up in arms anyway based on how much some of these other people do, but that's none of my business.

I don't use snap chat. I do have fellow tms on my facebook page. However, I don't really post anything ...so nothing exciting for them to see. As for the callouts. I rarely ever called out ..Years ago I had a terrible migraine . I woke up with one...and couldn't get any relief. So, I called the store and told the etl/log that I wouldn't be coming in I wasn't feeling well. Her response was Ok... whats wrong . I said I have a migraine. She said well don't they make medicine for that ? I very politely said yes...they do. My doctor prescribed it to me and it makes me sleepy and it takes a while for it to get in my system and work. She said sure ...ok and hung up. I took my meds and went back to bed. Me calling and letting Spot know that I am not coming in is just that...me telling them...letting them know. I am not asking for persmisson or their medical viewpoint .

Snapchat is not really secure.

Don't follow or befriend your co-workers unless you really trust them. And don't have anything available for public view.

I have snapchat, but I don't post things that could get me in trouble. I also don't call out.
