It has been quite awhile since I've heard anything about Target and St. Jude. We used to sell items at Christmas and have the proceeds go there. We haven't done that recently, at least as far as I can remember.

Also, what about the Target House that we used to have there, too. It used to be that once a year that the TMs with the most volunteer hours got to spend about a week at Target House helping to do all kinds of things.

Did Target "do away" with Target House?

I remember how we used to have pictures in the break room at work that were drawings and paintings by kids from St. Jude.....they were actually motivational pictures and phrases written by the kids.

If Target is going to give millions of dollars away every week, I'd rather see it all go to St. Jude's instead of to lots of communities.

Anyone know anything?

I think communities contribute more to Target than St. Jude so that might be why. I honestly do not know. I do know that it's better to contribute directly to St. Jude yourself than through Target.

Target House

I guess it's still up and running if St. Jude still has it listed. That's one of the few things I'm really proud of Target for doing.

Yeh, seeing how Target is ending 'Take Charge of Education', it would really suck to see them end participation with St. Jude's & Target House.
Community activities seemed to have fallen off around my former store.
