It looks like TARGET is doubling down on store fullfillnent as a more cost effective process. Which means distribution fulfillment will become a thing of the past, like the failed Canada stores expansion. There have already been 2 sites shuttered this year (Georgia and Indy), with more buildings losing FC and reverting back to RDC

Believe me, don’t believe me, I don’t care. All I know is there are a lot of folks in my building already looking at opportunities elsewhere.

seems like a good idea tbh. thats why i use wm a lot now, they send me stuff from the store same or next day, for free with wm plus. i can sit there and abuse them by ordering paper towels by themselves and they will arrive the next day or even the same day lol. i even use them more than amazon now which typically takes two days.

i saw a write up on the retiring wm ceo. he's not famous like bezos, musk etc but he turned wm around. target needs someone like that, who has a vision.

If they were really smart they would convert some lower performing stores into fulfillment centers, especially in densely populated areas. That way they could maybe do same day shipping, or way faster online -Only pickups way faster .
