Denton FDC Loss in 2024

Does anyone remember what the loss was when the tornado hit the Denton FDC?

Idk but my store can't wait to switch back to Denton. Lake City FDC trucks have been very troublesome

My leaders got info that Denton suffered damage, namely losing most of their roof.
They are trying to set up an alternate DC (since they may be out of commission for a couple months) but it will likely be out of state. Either CA or FL.

Whoa your still getting trucks from Lake City? I'm at the Denton FDC I thought we had all of our usual stores back for a while now!

my dc was hit by bad hail geez, 20 yrs ago? was completely nuts. the roof started leaking like a sieve everywhere. there was literally 4 inches thick of water on the floor of the entire building. it was cold the night i worked in it too. they made us stay or at least didnt tell us we had option to leave. we pointlessly squeegeed water out the door all night, like trying to squeegee the ocean might as well. iirc all shift. it was freezing, shoes soaked. what made me mad is later i heard day shift got to go home and we were supposed to be given the option to go home as well, but were never told that. all the packing mods of course were fried. and most of the freight in the racks I'm sure. who knows how many millions of $ damage. another thing i remember is the gm frantically had contractors on the roof trying to patch the holes with tar while they waited days for a new roof. well next rain a few days later that tar patch effort had absolutely no effect, it leaked just like before. one of the crazier times. i heard insurance covered the losses.
