Any stores doing any new test or pilots for future roll outs?

Whatever happened to freight already being sorted when coming off the trucks, or style product already detrashed and on z racks?

Yes. Two stores in my district are testing out the new "points" system for attendance. Starting today, call-offs, late-ins, and early-outs, accumulate points that lead to automatic coaching, write-up, and termination. The one thing I keep hearing is "it's out of the leader's hands" meaning if the system fires you, they can't do anything about it 🤷🏾‍♀️. I doubt they have control but nobody really knows too much. I'll update if I get more information.

They're called pilots for a reason. Those pilots never made it past the pilot phase. There was also a pilot for electronic price tags many years ago, but it never progressed beyond the pilot phase.

I wouldn't be surprised to see electronic price tags make another try. The Walmart nearby just installed them

Is this a pilot or a test?

I thought that this was going to be, pretty soon, the new system at every store.

Edit:

"... TESTING out the new 'points' system ..."

Wait. So this is really going to be possibly a “thing”? And the sorry 😣 azz excuse leadership will give to their subordinates is “Oh it’s the system..” Well then the reply to that “system” should be “Ask the “system” to stay late and finish that said task. Or ask the “system” to come in on a day off. Seems like Cluster Fu*ck Modernization 2.0 at its finest. For those of us that remember that Shit 💩 show during The COVID Pandemic 😷

huh.

This is interesting. Keep us posted, please.

There's gotta be ways around it. Leadership very commonly asks TMs to leave or come in early without changing the schedule to reflect that, which would mean automatic points under this kind of system. Same with suddenly helping out at other stores for a shift instead of working at their home store or swapping days because of a last minute cancel from the DC.
