yours truly is the new Dry Market Specialist. The raise sucks but I now have control of my own area with a fixed schedule and 38 hours a week. Next Step is staying motivated, taking my drive to the next level and become TL. District manager knows me never fails to say hello every visit simply took the initiative to introduce first time I saw her. Who would have imagined a zero head, arrogant, street kid like me would be climbing up the leadership ladder at Target.

Well thats the Title they gave me, I didn't even know specialist existed either. Figured it went TM to TL as well, initially there were 2-3 Market closers in my store, and 1 during the day. On my two days off I know 1 of them works Market, but besides that they all got moved to Hardlines. My shifts are from 3pm-11pm 5 days a week. They slacked off a lot and myself having the drive to get things done, management figured they'd give me all of Markets shifts. It's cool cause I don't have to respond to back up and I can do whatever I want in the Department. Don't know how they managed to give me a raise, and for some reason everyone at my store thinks I'm a TL now lol I'm honestly having more fun now then I did while as a TM I guess cause I'm more in control of things.

Congratulations.
Sounds like you're going to have to work your ass off to prove yourself but that can be a good thing.
Glad to hear you're doing well.
