Been working guest services for a while. Whenever there is a no receipt return and you try to up the return value, the POS just says "To Continue, Pick NO" K1-Yes K3-No.
What exactly does it mean? Did this screen used to say something different?

My literal favorite screen ever on POS.

what it’s basically saying is “you’re not allowed to change the return value on a no receipt return so are you sure this is a no receipt return *wink*”

hence you need to press no to continue

I can think of literally dozens of POS screens that say one thing but actually have a totally different meaning... it just takes time to learn what POS *really* is asking

It’s for situations where the guest has the receipt and it’s expired or the packing slip doesn’t work or something not typical where they can prove what they paid but you have to use an ID to do the return. The POS is is asking if it’s truley a no receipt return or not. If it’s not but you have to use the ID because of some strange situation hit YES but if it is truly a no receipt return hit NO

Actually the other way around. Truly no receipt hit yes. Weird situation hit no.
