I live in Texas and they have shitty labor laws so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't pay out any vacation time from the vacation payout total. I just hate dis shit. They shouldn't be allowed to mess with this stuff. I earned those vacation hours. They are my property.

Using vacation hours and taking time off doesn't mean you have to go to Dizz Knee Land. You can take a staycation. Maybe do some job applications and work towards getting closer to doing your teaching English abroad thing.
