I hope someone hasn't already asked this, but does anybody know what vcd on receipts stand for or how they're created?

Every Target receipt has its own unique verification code

To the OP: As far as how it's created, it's created using a specific script code, set by Target. No clue what the rules are though.

VCD is based on the receipt ID - you'll notice that receipts from your store will have a different pattern compared to another stores.
